As such, we also acknowledge the need and responsibility that we as a Club have, to be responsible for safe-guarding the welfare of every child and young person we are entrusted with in our care.
We are therefore proud to introduce three new well-being initiatives; ‘Child Protection and Safety Policy’, Police Vetting, and the introduction of a Club Welfare Officer position.
To read the ‘Child Protection and Safety Policy’ (CPSP) please see the attached document.

As part of this initiative, we are also committed to ensuring that we have safe people in the right places, so we are introducing Police Vetting from this season onwards. At this stage we require all Grade Managers, Coaches, and Team Managers to complete and return their forms asap. If you have any concerns regarding confidentiality please see Section 12 of the CPSP. We will require each Grade Manager to sight individual ‘Evidence of Identify’ ID’s as part of the vetting process, however at this early stage we do not require a physical copy to accompany the form.
The official Vetting Consent form can be found under the heading ‘Request and Consent Forms’ on the link below.
http://www.police.govt.nz/advice/businesses-and-organisations/vetting/forms-and-guides
Please use the ‘NZ Police Vet only’ form
There is also a ‘Guide to completing the Consent Form’ document if you require help.
Please complete Sections 2 and 3 only. The Club will fill in the first page.
We appreciate your help and understanding with this initiative, and look forward to working with everyone towards an easy and swift introduction.
