Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Club Day last Saturday. Awesome crowds watching the games during the day and the Clubrooms packed out for Mike King at night – well done to all. Our Central League women were unlucky to go down 1-0 to Seatoun in the early game, followed by an equally hard-fought tussle in the Men’s Central League, which saw Upper Hutt take on Lower Hutt in a highly anticipated game. Upper Hutt came out on top with a 2-1 win, which lifted us to 5th in the 10 team table, with Wests and Wairarapa on the same points but above us on goal difference. That’s us mid-way through the season now, with a bye this weekend for Chatham Cup games.

The 2nd team maybe took some inspiration from the 1sts, with a comprehensive 6-2 win over their Lower Hutt rivals in Capital 2 mid-week.
Saturday also saw the launch of our Friends of Upper Hutt City Football fundraising campaign to build a deck along the front of the clubrooms. Find out more here or talk to Phil Gorman.
