Upper Hutt City Football led the Hutt Valley Football Festival at Petone on Saturday 20th June, setting up and taking down all the pitches for over seventy 7th and 8th grade teams! The Festival Day is a great opportunity for our players to put the skills they’ve been learning at Maidstone every Saturday into action against other local teams. Clubs participating included Petone, Stokes Valley, Wainuiomata, Eastbourne, Lower Hutt, Naenae and of course, the hosts, Upper Hutt City Football.
The 7th grade teams played four games each; the 8th grade three. The 8th grade teams played well, some winning all three of their games and a couple of teams registering their first win of the season. Thanks to 7th Grade Manager, James Lamb and 8th Grade Manager, Jimmy Young and all the coaches and managers for an awesome morning of fun football!
