Please support our Juniors
What is it?
Goal-a-thon is Upper Hutt City Football’s major annual fundraiser for the junior club.
What is the money used for?
Last year’s funds were mostly used to buy 5 sets of junior goals for Maidstone Park. These are used by our First Kicks and Fun Football teams on Saturdays and by any junior team for training during the week. This year, the funds will be used to purchase new footballs.
How does it work?
Junior players collect sponsorship for either goals per game or a set donation. If counting goals, you add all the goals for and against in your game on Saturday 14 June. If your game is cancelled, this rolls over to the next playing day.
Why should you support this fundraiser?
UHCF is a huge club, with almost 600 junior and youth players. We want to provide a quality football environment with qualified coaches, the latest equipment and first class facilities. Subs alone don’t cover these costs. So we rely on a combination of subs, sponsorship, fundraising and grants. The less fundraising we do, the more funds we have to find from other sources – and that’s likely to be subs. (But if you can also find us some new junior sponsors – that would be awesome too!)
And you could WIN A PRIZE!
The junior player who collects the most sponsorship will WIN a fabulous Fujifilm Finepix JZ100 14 megapixel digital camera! (Colour may differ from pic) PLUS there’s a prize for the person with the most sponsorship in each grade (except in the grade with the overall prize winner, in which case it will be awarded to the 2nd highest sponsorship amount in that grade).
What next?
You should have received a Sponsorship form from your coach/manager. If you haven’t yet, not to worry, it’s on it’s way, or you can simply download and print from here. Please use this form to collect your sponsorship, have an awesome game on 14 June then return your money to your manager by Saturday 28 June 2014.
Any questions, please contact your Grade Manager. You can find their details on the Junior Contacts page of this website.
Thanks for your support!
