This Saturday the Sue Watson “Wineglass Challenge Cup” is up for the first time between Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt in Men’s Central League Football. 



Many of you will know of the association Sue had with both our clubs over the years and this fixture each year will give us the opportunity to recall all the good times at both Clubs from U19 Tournaments, horsey nights, karaoke nights to social getaways and to reflect on the friendships we all shared with Sue.

When Sue left Upper Hutt she was presented with a wine glass by “the girls” so it seemed appropriate to name it so.

This cup will be challenged for each year once a year between Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt at the holder’s home game. In the event of a draw this week Lower Hutt will retain the cup given Lower Hutt was the last club Sue was associated with until next year’s challenge.
