Miramar Rangers UHCF U19s Champions
Congratulations to Miramar Rangers, 2-1 winners over host club Upper Hutt in the final of the Parapine ITM Upper Hutt U19s Bob Bamford Memorial Tournament 2017.
Upper Hutt had progressed comfortably through the tournament, whilst Miramar needed two penalty shoot-outs to make it to the final, yet it was the latter team which finished the stronger on the day.
Huge thanks to Mark Ellis (tournament controller) and the support crew behind the scenes. The weather (and waterlogged pitches) certainly caused some challenges but we got there in the end! Thanks also to the referees, players, coaches, managers and of course, the hardy supporters who turned up in sometimes miserable weather. We truly do appreciate everyone’s support for this tournament, both on and off the pitch.
Best of luck to our Upper Hutt boys who now turn their attention to the Ivan England final against Tawa on Saturday, 14 October, 11am kick-off at Petone Memorial.
